HOW BIG & HOWMUCH SPACE IS NEEDED FOR SET UP
I'm not sure if
my yard is good, would you mind coming over to check it out? We'd be
delighted! In the local area, we offer this service for a $30 CHARGE. Out of the local area $40 CHARGE Please select a spot clear of
fireants, doggie droppings and sharp pine cones.
Where can I set
up the unit & What type of location is required for bounce houses & slides? Many home
owners with small yards dont realize that they can set up behind or in front of
their garage. All units will fit in a standard double driveway. This is assuming that
there isn't a steep incline. The units must be set up on a fairly flat surface, but
a slight incline is ok. The area must be free of anything that might puncture or rip the
unit such as above ground tree roots, rocks, etc. can set up our
Bounce Houses on any flat surface Back and front yards of private residences, church and
school gyms, fellowship or meeting halls with vaulted ceilings, all work great. If your
backyard will not accommodate the unit, most flat driveways work great. All Bounce Houses
require an area clear of tree branches. Our trained professional staff will deliver, set
up and take down the unit, with no work on the customers part. The best location will be open flat, A grassy area and
with no overhead trees or utilities is preferred to set up inflatable equipment. Bounce
houses (Jumpers) and slides are anchored in the ground. Please be sure area is clean of
debris and animal waste. We Stakes use stakes on grass go into the ground approx. 12
inches. Be sure setup is not on top of electrical lines or pipes. Jump Bouncers will not
be liable for any underground repair. Equipment can be set-up on concrete. We use sandbags
on concrete to secure the unit. Please advise us if you prefer equipment to be set-up on
concrete so we are prepared when we deliver.
Will
the unit damage my lawn?
We
cannot guarantee that there will be no affect on your lawn. Due to the weight of the
Bounce and the depending on the length of time the bounce is in use, flattened grass is
common but not permanent.
While
the typical Bounce is approximately 15 square and 15 high, some of our
Bouncers can be as tall as 23 and some of our slides even higher. Generally, a 20-foot by 20-foot area is sufficient for most standard
bouncers. Slides & Interactive Games are larger. Most of our Inflatables are different
dimensions. It is ideal that there be at least a 5 foot buffer zone around any Inflatable.
Our staff will discuss the required dimensions when you call for a reservation. The
best way to find out is to call.
WHERE CAN &
HOW BIG & HOWMUCH SPACE IS NEEDED FOR SET UP
How much
space & room is needed for a bounce house
The units vary in size Jumpers (Bounce houses) should
have at least 5' of additional space. That means You will need
to provide a level area of about 20 x 20 feet, for
our standard 15' by 15'. For The bounce
houses, and 20 x 40, for the slide, and
40 x 40 for combo and a large slide. With an
overhead clearance of 17 feet for our units. smaller
Bouncers requires 15 to
20 feet in length and 15 to 25 feet in height. Slides require 25 to 40 feet in length and
15 to 25 feet in height.
What type of
surface can I setup the Inflatable on?
We can set-up
an inflatable on many surfaces (grass, asphalt, concrete, inside, outside, etc.). It is
very important that the location is flat, level, and smooth. It is also imperative that
the location allows for overhead clearance from any trees, power-lines, is free of debris,
and is easily accessible. Additionally, it is very important to let us know the type of
surface, so we can bring the correct anchor system to the jobsite. We will anchor the unit
either by driving stakes into the ground or by using sandbags where stakes
cannot be used. When you make the reservation, our staff will ask you these questions.
Our
units can be set up on any flat level surface such as grass, concrete, asphalt, and even
indoor gymnasiums. but we can set up on a very minor slope and only if the entrance is on
the uphill side. We cannot set up if surface is made with sea shells. These will cut
through our tarps and also the inflatable. Please specify which surface the bounce house
will be setup on so we can provide the appropriate anchors.
The area should be level, free of rocks, dirt, sand, sticks etc. and any in ground
sprinkler systems should be shut off and not protruding. The unit must be within 80
feet of an outlet. We also ask that you please clean up the area in which the
funhouse or slide is to be placed.
Do
I need to prepare the surface area?
Yes
The site should be cleared of sharp sticks, stones, animal waste and other large debris.
Please turn your sprinkler system off.
Can you set the inflatable
up on cement?
Yes,
the inflatables will be secured with either sand bags or cement holders rather than
stakes, and a tarp or rubber mat will be placed underneath to protect the unit. However,
it is HIGHLY recommended that the inflatable be set up on grass whenever possible. It is
possible that someone could slip getting into or out of the inflatable and hit the ground.
The cement is unforgiving when this happens. We must be informed of cement setups prior to
delivery or there may very well be an additional delivery charge for returning to our
office for the proper equipment.
WHERE CAN &
HOW BIG & HOWMUCH SPACE IS NEEDED FOR SET UP
Can
a bouncer be set up indoors?
Yes
absolutely!, our units can be set up inside or outside. provided that
the space is 17x17x17 with the ability to tie the bouncer down. You
will need to have enough ceiling height (about 20) to accommodate the inflatable.
The bouncer must not be too near hot lights, a/c vents or any fire hazard. Many
commercial halls, malls, gyms, etc. will do just fine.
We love
indoor set-ups. There will need to be a doublewide door allowing access of the large
inflatable roll-ups. There will also need to be a tall ceiling to allow for overhead
clearance of the Inflatable when erect. If you have access to an indoor gymnasium or
conference room, hall, churches, or any where else that can accommodate the height of our
bouncer, there is no need to be concerned with inclement weather conditions.
Can
I set up the inflatable near my pool?
Safety is our number one concern. The bouncer or slide must be set up a safe
distance away from a pool or water front; at least 30 feet.
Can
you set the inflatable up anywhere in my yard?
All
inflatables need to be within 50 feet of an outlet. Longer cords can be used, but the
blower will lose power, as the extension cord gets longer causing a potential fire hazard
and damage to the blower itself. The ground should be as level as possible. Nothing more
than an 8-inch difference in height from one end to the other. If there is more than that,
the kids will end up bouncing down hill and bump into each other, possibly causing injury.
Can you setup a bounce
house or inflatable in a park or other public place?
Yes,
we do setup in parks and other public places. Call us for
pricing. Many parks do require a permit. However, there will be an
additional fee if, insurance, or permit is needed. You may have
to use a generator, which we can provide for an extra fee, as not all park locations have
electricity. Under new state
regulations, any setup at a school, church or park must have an on-site inspection by the
state fire marshal's office. There is an inspection fee of $40.00 per inflatable that we
have to pay the fire marshal's office and therefore, if your event is at a school, church
or park you will be charged an extra $40.00 per inflatable to cover this cost.
